In 2015, the warm and friendly couple Patricia and Gregg Meesters and their two girls swapped their urban life in Belgium for a life under the Southern French sun. They have created Le Petit Viala, a beautiful holiday home for six people in the middle of the countryside around charming Capestang. Their hamlet- called Le Viala- is surrounded by vineyards and pine trees, and offers relaxing vistas over the region.
Idylle
When Patricia and Gregg decided to move to France, Gregg’s father asked them if their new region would still amaze them after a few years. And now, after living in France for over five years, Patricia and Gregg can confirm that they still marvel at the beauty of the surroundings in their uniquely situated domaine. Luckily, they have decided to share their idylle by creating a holiday home. As a result, at Le Petit Viala you can enjoy the real French life.
Wonderful region
Le Petit Viala is a great base to explore the wonderful region of Capestang and the Canal du Midi. You can also explore the charming towns of Narbonne and Béziers, or take a plunge in the Mediterranean sea, all of them less than half an hour drive from the holiday home. Coming back to the holiday home, it is time to relax in the heated pool. Or you can play a game of boules to complete the French picture. And while you discover the huge garden, you might meet the other inhabitants- sheep, a goat, two pigs and some cosy cackling chickens to complete the family.
Relaxation
With its three double bedrooms, the holiday home can comfortably host six people. And because all of the double beds can be divided up into single beds, the gîte is suitable both for families and groups of friends. The spacious living room includes a dining table. However, my experience is that you mostly will sit outside on the pleasantly shaded terrace. In addition, there even is a sauna for ultimate relaxation. This is what holidays are all about!
