Béziers’ nearest beach is at Valras-Plage, a great seaside resort to visit with kids. The water deepens slowly, and there is plenty of playground equipment for hours of fun. The grownups also have a good reason to go, as you will find a lovely restaurant serving gourmet food along the boulevard. It’s called L’Ô de Vie, and the Dutch couple Jordy and Carina van Steen have run it successfully for five years.
L’Ô de Vie is run by the Dutch Jordy and Carina van Steen. Inspired by the catch of the day of local fisherman Jeremie Sauzet, the menu has many fish options. You can also choose meat, seafood platters or tapas. The restaurant is open daily for lunch year-round. Twice per week, on Fridays and Saturdays, dinner is also served. Set-menus go for 45 euros for three courses and 37 euros for two courses. Reservation is highly recommended.
Parking
Off-season, you will find numerous parking spots along the Boulevard Jean Moulin. During the summer, you will have to pay to park here. Or you can try to find a place at the free parking lot Ponant near the Avenue du Casino.
