This wellness centre is gorgeously situated along the Southern French coast and offers numerous possibilities to relax to the max. And it allows you to visit one of the remarkable architectural buildings for which La Grande Motte is known.
Us-time
While cleaning out our old house, I found a gift voucher for the Thalasso & Spa in La Grande Motte that I had completely forgotten about. As Chéri and I could use a day together after having organised the move to Béziers, this was the ideal treat. Therefore, I made the reservation, and we went off to La Grande Motte for some ‘us-time’. As soon as we entered the resort, we felt like a warm blanket of relaxation had been wrapped around us.
Various packages
By chance, it was a beautiful January day with a cloudless blue sky, which made the day even more special. You can buy various packages, from a 2 hour entrance to the spa area (22 euros) to a three days ‘detox break’ (420 euros). To extend your stay, you can book a stylish hotel room at the four-star ‘Les Corallines’ in the same complex. I had chosen the ‘Méditerranéen’ package (120 euros per person), including two-hours access to the spa area. Here we found a warm indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, swim-against-the-current pool, saunas and relaxation rooms. It also comprised half an hour in a private jacuzzi with revitalising sea crystals and a half-hour massage.
Les Corallines
The exterior pool was too cold to try, but Chéri and I sat outside at one of the terraces after all the bubbling and relaxing. Here, we enjoyed a cup of herbal tea while the sun warmed us. Our package also included a delicious three-course lunch at ‘Les Corallines’ restaurant. You can go there in your bathrobe and slippers, but we felt more comfortable in our clothes. The weather was so great that we decided to have our lunch outside by the pool. There, with the Mediterranean Sea stretching in front of us, la vie was extremely belle.
