Owners Maria and Joel have taken great care with their tasteful renovation, creating five private apartments in a traditional 19th-century mansion. All to give you a French home away from home.
Welcoming atmosphere
Each apartment in La Maison des Vendangeurs has its own style, yet altogether the house breathes the same welcoming atmosphere. Each apartment has its own private kitchen and bathroom, plus you can also enjoy the common rooms if you want some shared quality time. Here, you can prepare an evening meal together in the fully equipped kitchen, sit in the cosy living room or have dinner in the beautiful patio garden. You will also find showers, cleverly hidden at the entrance of the mansion. They are perfect for washing off the beach and cleaning your sports gear before entering the house.
Gruissan
La Maison des Vendangeurs Sur Mer is situated at a wonderful, walkable distance from the medieval village of Gruissan. This circular village has been built in concentric circles around the ruins of the Barberousse tower in the 11th century. It still benefits from the local traditions of fishermen, winegrowers and salt producers. Located in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of Narbonne, flanked by two lakes and a stone’s throw from the Mediterranean beaches, there is more than enough for you to explore and enjoy.
Grandiose staircase

Even though this studio is small, the practical design includes a private kitchen and bathroom. Going up a level via the grandiose staircase will bring you to two six-people apartments, with two bedrooms. One of these apartments even has a beautiful terrace, including corners to relax, two dining tables and a barbecue.
In love
On the top floor, you will find two spaciously laid out apartments suitable for eight people. Each of them has three bedrooms, divided over two floors, with comfortable queen-sized beds and a bunk bed for the kids, as well as two modern bathrooms. While Maria showed me around, I fell in love with the house. She and Joel have such great sense of style that you can see in every corner of the house. The combination of colourful artwork, original accessories and a contemporary finish will make you want to stay on holiday in the South of France forever.
